Penny Pinched Way To Fill A Large Jar

hallway12

While I was at the Dollar Tree today I picked up some Valentine hearts to change our foyer lamp from winter to Valentine's Day. 🙂

(I found this lamp and thought it was kind of fun – I love displaying seasonal stuff a little more subtly, and my kids love seeing what's in there too!)

But it's a big jar at the bottom of that lamp. So I popped in some canned veggies. . .

And filled all the way around it.

No one will ever know! 🙂

(And I know those poor Aldi roses have seen better days, but I'm not quite ready to let them go.) 🙂

Watch for updates on our foyer coming soon!

  1. Just had an idea. You could empty the can turn upside down & never have to “forget” about the contents & always have one to use when feeling the jar 🙂

  2. I love the lamp and wish I could find an inexpensive one.

  3. Where did you find the lamp? I love it.

I have been picking up pine cones at my friends for this coming Winters decorations. The bubble wrap that comes in a lot of packaging can be cut & rolled to use up a lot of space just do a couple of layers of candy on the bottom . Love the lamp also.
