Money Saving Mom and Life as Mom have joined forces to challenge their readers to Eat from the Pantry for the month of January. While my stockpile is pretty significant, I’m not sure if I could make it for the whole month without any groceries, so here’s how Eating from the Pantry will look at our house:
- Plan and prepare one meal entirely from my stockpile each week.
- Use pantry items as much as possible when making the rest of our meals each week
- Stick to a $50 weekly budget for groceries and donate any overage in extra groceries for the food pantry.
- Commit to eating out only on Sunday’s after church and one other meal each week.
