I am reeling after just getting home from our trip to Deer Valley, Utah last week (we got home yesterday afternoon and goodness, I’m worn out!) But, I am so thankful because thanks to our Countertop Cooking Challenge this month I ordered my groceries online using Kroger’s Clicklist Saturday night from our hotel room, and today DINNER IS DONE.

 

WOOHOOOO! 🙂 

Tonight’s Slow Cooker Minestrone Soup

I’m also super excited because tomorrow morning I’ll try freezer cooking for the first time (I’m so curious if it works!), and I love that we’ll have dinner made for 5 meals in under an hour.

 

Success.

Today is my Sweet Caroline’s 14th birthday (crazy – when I first started blogging she was just 7 years old!), so I’m baking a cake for her right now and we made these almost homemade cinnamon rolls for breakfast.

 

Because this is freezer cooking week, our challenge will be a little different as we start the week. Here’s what to expect:

  • Monday 10:00 AM – FREEZER COOKING LESSON (my friend Tiffany from Eat at Home Cooks shared how to start freezer cooking ~ the video is over but you can still watch the replay)
  • Tuesday 8:45 AM – FREEZER COOKING DAY ON FACEBOOK LIVE! I’ll prepare Slow Cooker Chipotle Beef Tacos, Slow Cooker Chicken and Gravy over Rice, Maple Apple Pork, and Chicken Philly Sandwiches to fill my freezer with to use later in the week and on busy weeks in the future
  • Wednesday 8:45 AM – DUMP DAY 1 ON FACEBOOK LIVE 🙂 … Dump all the ingredients for Slow Cooker Chicken and Gravy in Mrs. Potts
  • Thursday 8:45 AM – DUMP DAY 2 ON FACEBOOK LIVE … Dump all the ingredients for Maple Apple Pork in the Slow Cooker + make Easy Mashed Sweet Potatoes (My hubby’s going to love this one!)
  • Friday 8:45 AM DUMP DAY 3 ON FACEBOOK LIVE … Dump everything we need to make Chicken Philly Sandwiches in the Slow Cooker + make Simple Potato Salad
