Mission Minded Deals: Publix Weekly Ad Starting 5/23/12 OR 5/24/12

Here are the deals in the new Publix ad starting Wednesday or Thursday of this week, depending on your area. It’s a pretty good week this week, with quite a few great Memorial Day deals!  Grab a bunch for your family and one or two to donate to someone in need. :)

Here are a few things to remember before you shop:

  • To add an item to your printable list just click the square next to the item, and you’ll see your list pop up in the bottom right hand corner of your screen.
  • The Buy One Get One prices are after the BOGO savings, so if you’re a Florida shopper remember you’ll need to purchase two items to get that price.
  • Publix doubles manufacturer coupons up to $.50 each day. (Publix does not double any coupons in FL – sorry guys!)
  • Prices are regional and may vary by store.
  • As you’re able, grab a bunch of these for your own family and a few to donate to your local food pantry, church or school!

Kroger Weekly Ad: 5/20/12 -5/26/12

Here are the new deals at Kroger starting Sunday, 5/20/12 in the Southeast region.  It’s a great ad with the General Mills buy 6 get $6 Catilina (next order)! Here are a few things to remember before shopping at Kroger:

  • Load your Cellfire coupons and Kroger E-coupons to your card ; but remember that Kroger does not allow you to stack manufacturer coupons and e-coupons. If you have e-coupons loaded on your card, they will automatically be deducted first, so make sure to only load e-coupons that have a higher value than your clipped coupons.
  • Kroger doubles coupons up to $.50 everyday. They do not double e-coupons.
  • E-coupons may only be used once per account.
  • Click “display all matchups” to see the complete list of deals.
  • To create your printable list, just click the square next to the item, and you’ll see your list pop up in the bottom right hand corner of your screen (to see the full list of items, click “display all matchups”.)

UPDATE:  I totally messed this one up by not reading more carefully through the rebate!  The rebate only includes Luvs, so here are two different options:

  • Buy 2 Luvs Boxed Diapers $18 each
  • Use (2) $2.00 off the purchase of one Luvs Diapers in ad coupon
  • Stack with (2) $1/1 Luvs home mailers or $1/1 Luvs Diapers (LuvsDiapers.com) request by mail, hopefully you already have some of these, if not, be sure to request them while you can!
  • Pay as little as $30 out of pocket, submit for $5 Publix Gift Card Running Out Running In Rebate
  • Makes them $25 for 2 big boxes of diapers

Kroger Grocery Deals: Spent $39 for $79 in Groceries

My son was working on his homework in the background when I took the picture :)

 

My poor stockpile has been reduced to just about nothing, so I made a quick run to Publix AND Kroger today (I hardly ever do that!)  I’ll post my Publix deals and pictures tomorrow, but here’s what I grabbed in Kroger’s Mega Sale:

 

  • 13 Bags Pepperidge Farm Goldfish $.88 Mega Sale price after purchasing 10 participating items
  • 1 Trix Cereal $2.19 Mega Sale, Used $.50/1 Trix printable 
  • 1 Freschetta Pizza $4.09 Used $1/1 Freschetta Pizza printable
  • 1 Heluva Good Dip $.99
  • 2 Quaker Granola Bars $1.89
  • 2 Gogurt Yogurts $1.89
  • 2 Dove Chocolate Candy Bars $.89 Used $.50/2 Dove Chocolate Bars
  • 6 Granny Smith Apples $3.92 I can’t believe I paid that, but I couldn’t find a price on it and was in a hurry… yikes!
  • 3 HUGE Baking Potatoes $2.50 another horrible deal . . . oh well, we needed them for dinner . . . 
  • 3 Bottles V05 Shampoo $.79 Used  $1/3 Alberto V05 Shampoos or Conditioners, exp. 6/1/12 (SS 05/13/12)
  • 6 Dial Handsoaps $1 Used $3/2 Dial Handsoaps (no longer available, but you can use $2.00 off any 4 Dial Liquid Hand Soap)
  • 1 lb. Salmon $4.99

 

 

My total was $39.08 plus $3.75 in tax, and I saved $41.96.  It wasn’t the biggest savings ever, but we were low on handsoap and completely out of snacks, so I was thrilled to stock up!  My husband also asked to grill salmon out for dinner tonight, and $4.99/lb. is the best price I’ve seen lately.  I’d love to hear if you found any great Kroger deals I missed! :)
