Shannon’s Publix Trip: Spent $45.67 for $217.21 in Groceries

  • Sharebar

Here’s what I grabbed on my Publix Trip this week for $45.67 plus tax, while saving $161.51.  This was one insane trip! It took me about 45 minutes to get it ready… Yikes! (But, so well worth it….)  I’m excited about the donations I was able to grab, as well as the French’s Fried Onions deal.  (Sadly I may go back and grab a few more. . .) We love us some Best Spaghetti Bake Ever in our house!

  1. Mary says:

Great trip. I’ve got to stop throwing out coupons I don’t use. Those Equal tablets are moneymakers and I don’t have those coupons :( I’m not seeing your Publix bakery bread, though. What kind do you typically buy? They all seem so expensive so I usually don’t use those coupons, but maybe you found a good deal on something I should try.

    • Laurie says:

I always buy the French or Italian bread loaves – sometimes they’re as low as $1.19! Not sure what Shannon got …. :)

      • Katrina says:

I got bagels last time I was there. They had 4 packs for $1, and I asked if I could use the bread coupon on them. They said yes, so the bagels were free!

  2. Jenn says:

Oh my goodness, how did I miss a $1.50/1 Hellmann’s manufacturer printable?!

  3. Shannon says:

Hey Mary! I actually forgot about the bread completely. I had the coupon in my hand heading over there but got sidetracked…. So no bread. Usually I grab the Italian Bread that is like $1.69 or $1.89?

  4. Shannon says:

Hey Jenn! The coupon was only available for a limited time this weekend. I wish I would have printed more but I thought they would be around longer than 2 days….. : )

  5. Robin says:

I did pretty good today. Got $130 worth at Publix today for $63. I love Publix!

  6. Shannon says:

Great job Robin! Publix is so awesome!

  7. It’s nice to see your trip from the first day of the sale. I’m sure it’s not easy for you to get it all together, but it definitely helps to see what you’re buying so if there’s anything I might have missed (the Maybelline matchups) I have a chance to get them when I shop. Thanks!

  8. Shannon says:

Thanks Kailin! It’s fun! Sometimes challenging but fun! I am glad it helps!

  9. Sherry says:

Can you tell me which kind (white gran.,brown or confectioners) sugar did you get that is $1.00 and you used 75/2, also is it the 1lb?

  10. Shannon says:

Hey Sherry! I bought one of each, yes 1 lb. Sadly I think the coupon available now says 2 lb or larger. My coupon was from a while back. There is one from the paper $0.50/1 or $.50/2 Domino Brown or Confectioners Sugar, exp. 5/31/13 (RP 03/17/13 R) that you can use and get it free. I think in our region it is $.50/2 though. Hope this helps!

  11. Shannon says:

Wow Katrina that is awesome and good to know! Thanks for the tip!

  12. Heather says:

Shannon, how do you get all of your coupons ready that fast? I can’t get mine together in 45 minutes on a slow week. I always get stuck because something won’t print, or you have to sign up, etc. It usually takes me closer to 2 hrs. on Tuesday nights before my trip on wed. Any tips to speed things up?

  13. Shannon says:

Hey Heather! I have an advantage as I do the ad I print out coupons to make sure they are valid and links are still working etc. I put them all in a pile and when I get ready to get my coupons together I grab that pile and cut them out first. That saves me a little time. I make a list first put a C next to the item on my list that has a coupon with it and go in order from my list getting coupons in a pile. For me having them already cut in my binder helps a ton. I can just go in order grab the coupons and put them in the pile. Staying focused is the hard part. If my kids are home it takes a lot more time. But if its just me I can focus and get it done faster. If I have time I put them in the order of the store, but that usually never happens! Hope this helps : )

  14. Kadesha says:

Thanks shannon i follow your match up every week and this week i had my biggest shopping trip $155 for only $52
