Spent $50 For $132 In Groceries At Publix

  • Sharebar

Here’s what I grabbed at Publix this week for $50.52, while saving $80 ~ not bad! My savings weren’t quite as good as Shannon’s this week (she always beats me!), but I’m excited to have my pantry re-stocked.

There were several items I picked up which I didn’t plan on getting, but I couldn’t pass up the BOGO Welch’s Jelly (we were almost out), an extra gallon of milk for $2.99 (that’s a pretty good price and it’ll save me an extra trip), and Oreos which were on sale with a peelie. (That was totally so that my family would think I was an awesome mom . . . it worked.) ;)

Here’s a super quick run down of the coupons I used:

Bought 3 Land O Lakes Butter $2.50

Bought 5 Gogurt $1.20
  • Used (2) $.75/1 recent printables, but you can also find them in the SS 02/10/13 R
  • Used (1) $.50/1 Gogurt recent printable

Bought 9 Kraft Mac & Cheese $.64

You and Shannon are really awesome at this! I used to do so much better, but really have gotten into the habit of NOT sticking to my shopping list…luckily, we’re ok on our spending, but I know I can do so much better, sometimes I just cringe at how much I spend at Publix because even though we are blessed to afford it, it’s not the best use of our funds. I still use coupons all the time and save money, but just get side tracked sometimes.  This is why I love reading how much you and Shannon save every week, it is inspiring for me to do better. Thanks for sharing!!

I have definitely gotten lazier over the years…. I still want to save big but get worn out too some weeks! It helps having Shannon because I think we’re both a little competitive ~ so it keeps me working harder at it :) I think having the freedom to not stress too much over though is such a blessing …. there are definitely different seasons in our lives when we all need different things! :)
