Here’s what I grabbed this week at Publix for $50.83 plus tax, while saving $100.89 . . . woot! I literally spent twenty minutes printing and organizing my coupons (I’m still only using printable coupons), and did a quick run through of Shannon’s deals as well as the complete list, and saved $100 ~ that means my “hourly rate” would have been $200/hour. Success!
I bought a ton of Nutri Grain Bars because they’re hardly ever BOGO (don’t miss the $1.00 off 3 Kellogg’s Nutri-Grain Cereal Bars coupon, and lucked out because all the boxes I found include Kellogg’s coupons right on the back. My favorite coupon was $1 off produce when you buy 2 Nutri Grain Bars, so I’ll be going back for more! I also found a peelie for $1 off Salad on one of the BOGO cans of Progresso, making my salad just $.99. Several folks have told me how much they love the Hormel Side Dishes, so I grabbed those for $.50. . . I know my family will love those cinnamon apples! I’m hoping to get back this weekend to pick up some great deals on yogurt too. Finally, here’s what we’re donating this week . . .
I’d love to hear how your grocery trip went this week, and if you were able to purchase an item or two to give please take a minute to share that too! See how other folks are saving at Weekly Totals at I Heart Publix, and Friday Finals at Southern Savers.

Laurie-I saw your post the other day about the Calzones and made those for dinner. Thanks for the suggestion! I wanted to tell you the cinnamon apples you bought make an excellent topping for an apple cinnamon dessert pizza to go with the calzones or a homemade pizza. Just make your homemade pizza crust and top with those Hormel cinnamon apples (chopped up) and top with a crumb topping of oatmeal, dark brown sugar, butter and cinnamon. I found my recipe online and the family loves it. Just a suggestion since you bought those.
So glad you liked them Mary – definitely one of our favorites!
(Shannon is really good to include those in the matchups, and it always reminds me of which recipes to make again…. perfect with this week’s sales)!
I did the yogurt deal, but I forgot to grab and clip 2 yellow advantage fliers instead of just 1 (that’s what I get for shopping at 7:30 in the morning!), so I lost like $3. I almost cried when I realized it, lol. It was tempting to drive back, grab another flyer, clip the ones I forgot, and ask for a refund, but I was too embarrassed to give them a mile-long receipt and ask for a couple of more bucks in savings.
BTW, I only do printables now too, so I decided to stop my newspaper subscription. But I’ve noticed that the free newspaper that comes mid-week now has a smartsource insert. Just an FYI!
Hey Laurie,
On the back of the Nutri Gran Bars it included a 1.00 coupon off 1 Dannon Activia which is 2.09 a pack and Target has 1.00 coupon off 2 Dannon Activia. So you can get 2 packs of Yougart for a 1.09!
