I really want to try and like Kroger more, and when they offered up the free Carnation Breakfast deal this morning I figured it was worth heading over for that and a few more deals(there have been tons this week!)  Here’s what I bought:

Transaction #1

  • Bought 4 Nature Valley Bars or Fiber One Bars $$2.83 Used (2) $0.50 off 2 boxes Nature Valley Granola Bars
  • Bought 1 Gallon Milk (free when you buy 4 Nature Valley Bars)
  • Paid $9.48 plus tax, got $2 catalina towards my next purchase

Transaction #2
Here’s what we’re donating this week . . .

I struggle shopping at Kroger all that often because Publix is so convenient, and the deals are just so good there, but if you only have a Kroger in your area you can definitely save there as well. Publix Shoppers, be sure to see how Shannon grabbed a whopping $137 in groceries there for just $29.90 . . . woot!

I’d love to hear how your grocery trip went this week, and if you were able to purchase an item or two to give please take a minute to share that too! See how other folks are saving at Super Savings Saturday at Money Saving Mom,Weekly Totals at I Heart Publix, and Friday Finals at Southern Savers.

You are donating the CIB with 3 kiddos in the house? My teens and hubby drink that stuff daily. It is actually very nutritious. I have been to Kroger multiple times the past week or so for nothing more than the CIB. At $2.69 per box after the high value coupon and catalina, I have been Kroger crazy!!! got my ecoupon yesterday for the free one and can’t wait to go for more!

We’ve never used them, and I’m afraid if I start my kids will expect it! :) The Kroger ad looks fantastic starting tomorrow…. more deals to go back for!

My teens drink it as breakfast almost every day. It is much better for them than a lot of the fast breakfast foods out there, so I don’t mind the expense. And I work full time, so I don’t have the luxury some have of preparing a from-froo breakfast for the kids in the morning. I haven’t looked at tomorrow’s ad yet. Will have to finish shopping today before I can plan for next week, LOL! Thanks for the great posts Laurie!

OK, curiosity got the best of me and I went ahead and looked at next weeks ad. Oh my gosh…I am so excited!!!

I knew you would be! :)

My son probably would love it, and I have had a hard time figuring out what to do for breakfast. You may have just talked me into keeping it…. he’s been having the yogurt Smoothies lately that are on sale at Publix and has loved them! Thanks for the tips…. I’ll try it out :) (And I’m sure he’ll thank you too….)
