I received a question in my inbox a few weeks ago, and would love your help in answering it! This reader has a friend who is a couponer, and she’s trying to figure out a great Christmas gift that would help her friend enjoy her coupon hobby even a little more. Here are a few ideas I came up with:
- A new pair of scissors (the Dollar Tree has them for $1, and I always like having a special set of scissors in my coupon bag that my kids don’t steal!)
- A new coupon binder
(you can check out what mine looks like HERE. . . I love it when I have time to keep everything clipped and up to date!)
- A personal Paper Trimmer ~ Amazon has this one for $19.31
- Coupon Organizing Sleeves
So, what are your suggestions? I’d love to hear them, so please take a minute and leave a comment to share!

I love this coupon organizer that attaches to the grocery cart! I’m always fumbling with mine balancing them on my purse and I would love to get this for Christmas! They come in a bunch of different colors too! http://www.etsy.com/listing/97724104/coupon-organizer-holder-turquoise-and
Great idea Elissa ~ thanks so much for sharing!
I think I would just like a gift card to Amazon so that I can take advantage of some of their deals! Or if they were really being generous, maybe an Amazon Prime membership so that all of my orders would ship for free
My favorite thing is when my friend fixes me a gift basket full of stuff she’s stocked up on that we’re either free or super cheap. She’ll put all sorts of stuff in it. I love it!!
I know that one of the coupon clipping services I have read about offers subscriptions – you choose the number of weeks and number of inserts and they automatically send them. I’m not sure of the cost, but for someone who can’t justify buying multiple papers, this is a great idea.
Great ideas ~ thanks so much for sharing!
I would like to know what website is this so i can go to it and try myself thank you.
The only online coupon site I’ve ever tried is My Coupon Hunter, and I’ve been very pleased with her. Hope that helps! http://www.mycouponhunter.com/
Hey, Laurie. I just watched your video about your coupon binder. Thanks for sharing. I have an additional hint. I am also a Publix shopper. It’s my primary store. I bought divider pages and labeled each one the same way the aisle is labeled at the store. For example, aisle two is cereals, coffee, tea, breakfast items. This way, I just flip to the section containing coupons for that aisle. Now that I’ve learned the aisle most things are on, it’s not difficult to find coupons when at other stores. It saves me time and searching when I shop. I just flip to the next section as I go down each aisle.
Thanks for all you do!
Favorite grocery store gift card- so even LESS money comes out of your pocket! And then the couponer can let the gifter know how much product he/she got for the gift card amount. : )
