Staples $.01 Spiral Notebooks To Donate: Works Great With Free Paper Deal At Staples

  • Sharebar

This is just a friendly reminder that Staples has Spiral Notebooks on sale for just $.01 each (limit of five, with minimum $5 purchase), through tomorrow only!  If you have a few school supplies to buy, you might want to swing by and pick these up while you’re at it.

I took my son to Staples earlier this week (with probably every other middle schooler in North Alabama . . . ), and talked with a few very sweet ladies who were teachers at a local high school.  Due to the changes in the Staples back-to-school policy, teachers are only allowed to get five of each item (compared to twenty-five last year), and they mentioned that at the school where they teach many more children could use them.  This would be a great way to pay just a few pennies for notebooks while getting some free copy paper at Staples to use for printing coupons!

If you have $5 extra in your budget this week, here’s a quick scenario you could use to donate a few back to school items:

  • Buy 4 3×5 index cards $.50 each
  • Buy 4 Elmer’s Glues $.25 each
  • Buy 2 composition notebooks $1 each
  • Buy 2 Bic Velocity Pens $.50 each
  • Buy 5 spiral notebooks $.05 each
  • Pay just $5.05 for 17 items . . or just $.29 each!

It’s so easy to forget that there are those in need all around us, and this is just a tiny thing we can do to help others.  Have you been able to donate free or inexpensive school supplies this summer?  Please leave a comment to share (I’d love to hear!)

Laurie I just have to say that I think your site is awesome! You have saved me so much money! I have been shopping the back to school sales all summer and was able to give my sons teacher a huge bag of school supplies! The look on her face just made my day, she was so happy and seemed so surprised! It really is an amazing feeling to help others and I love the lessons that is teaching my son! Thanks for all your hard work!

You just made my day, Dawn! I absolutely love that you were able to give to your son’s teacher, and the neatest part is definitely watching your son learn such a valuable lesson. Thank you so much for your encouragement! :)

If anyone is in the Decatur, AL area, these would be great to donate to the Beech Street Boys and Girls Club. They are in desperate need of school supplies and snack food items. When I went by yesterday, they were trying to feed approximately 55 kids with one box of honey buns and one pack of chips-a-hoy cookies. I delivered several boxes of snack foods on behalf of Progress Bank yesterday as part of our United Way Day of Caring project. After touring the facility and seeing the need, I was in tears by the time I got back to the car. Thanks for all you do Laurie to keep us informed and help us share with others!

Wow Faith – I will definitely thinking about that as I’m getting my donations ready! I actually have quite a few to donate this week (thanks to some donations other people have dropped off to me. . . ) I may see if we can schedule a trip out there soon. Thank you for letting us know!
