I’ve noticed the House Autry coupon around for awhile, but I had no idea what House Autry products even were! When I realized that the House Autry products are on Advantage Buy for just $1.53 though, I decided it was time to try them out at our house!
I also love Cracker Barrel’s Fried Apples, and since my hubby brought home a dozen apples from his parents apple tree I knew I had to figure out something to do with them. (I really wanted to make some Southern Living Apple Cake, but I’m trying to hold off on that one until it’s a little cooler!) These apples were so easy, and taste almost like the real thing for just a tiny bit of effort! (They’re also gluten free for any of you with wheat allergies in your home!)
Here’s what you’ll need to have a yummy Southern dinner at your house . . .
4 boneless pork chops
On Sale $2.99/lb.
1 package House Autry Southern Baked for Pork
On Advantage Buy $1.53, use $.50/1 HERE
4 large or 8 small golden delicious apples
If you know someone who has an apple tree this is a great way to get them free! If not grab a bag of apples on your Publix run
2 cups apple juice
1/2 cup apple juice (separated from first apple juice)
Juicy Juice 100% 64 oz, BOGO $3.49, $1/2 or $2/4 Nestle Juicy Juice Products
3 tablespoons corn starch
1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
5 tablespoons sugar
$.30/1 Domino Sugar
Preheat oven to 425 and cook pork chops according to directions HERE. While pork chops are baking, slice apples into thin slices. (It’s up to you if you want to leave peels on or not, I took mine off just because I was using my peeler-slicer-thingie that takes them off for me!)

Gently simmer apples on medium heat, stirring frequently. Meanwhile, mix corn starch, remaining apple juice, cinnamon and sugar and whisk until smooth.

Remove apples from skillet with slotted spoon and add cornstarch mixture to hot juice in skillet. Cook over medium high heat.
